The Preservation Resource Society is an organization created to preserve some of the rich heritage of New Orleans before it is lost forever.

One of our most ambitious projects is to begin the restoration of some of the most important jazz landmarks in the city of New Orleans.  This includes houses which were lived in by musicians of yesteryear, clubs that they played in and places that were important to them.  These places live on in the minds of the people who listen to the music....Unfortunately, thoughts do not build houses.  We are currently seeking sponsorship to help with the restoration of these important landmarks.  If you would like more information, click here.

Of course, our activities are not completely devoted to rebuilding houses.  We are also one of the foremost jazz historical societies in New Orleans and beyond.  We feel it is important to preserve historical data for future generations, and to continue to encourage the recent growing support for especially traditional New Orleans style jazz.
